Books have always been my passion. I have so many they are probably holding up my walls! I probably have one of the largest collectors of books relating to neolithic and bronze age Britain outside a university.
I am an author of two novels, STONE LORD and MOON LORD, which are both set at the time of Stonehenge. There is a twist, however--the heroic legends therein are based on the Arthurian cycle, tracing these legends back to potential prehistoric roots.
I also am author of SACRED KING, a historical fantasy novella based around the recent find of the remains of King Richard III. A modern day Dante's Inferno, it traces his 'afterlife' through a faerieland he deems purgatory, and ends with his fight to restore his lost reputation and return to earth some way to see it put right. I am very interested in the Wars of the Roses period and hope to do more study/writing on it.
My favourite all time books are Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, Alan Garrner's books, Susan Cooper's Dark is Rising, Robert Holdstock's Mythago Wood, Sharon Penman's Sunne in Splendour, Rosemary Hawley Jarman's We Speak No Treason.
